Lake Moogerah

Our camping site has ample bunk style accommodation (BYO bedding) and room for tents, caravans and campers. Toilets and showers are available however there are limited cooking facilities and catering will not be supplied. BYO esky, food and a gas burner if you need one. Local shops are not too far away by car, as are a few restaurants and other eateries.

Moogerah is a picturesque destination, popular with locals and tourists to the area. It is popular with hiking, boating, and water skiing enthusiasts. The lake has been stocked with Australian Bass, Golden Perch, Silver Perch, Mary River Cod and Saratoga for which you will need to pre-purchase a fishing licence. Public access to enter Mt Edwards National Park and beautification of the picnic areas around the lake have added to its appeal as a tourist attraction.

Lake Moogerah is located ninety minutes drive south west of Brisbane Airport via the Cunningham Highway. For a little more scenery, take the route from Ipswich or the Gold Coast through Boonah's countryside.

Just outside Moogerah, you'll find the spectacular Moogerah Peaks and five minutes away to the north-east, lies beautiful Lake Moogerah.
